Suryapet district annual credit plan released
Suryapet: District Collector K.Surendra Mohan here on Friday advised bankers to ensure implementation of annual credit plan of Rs 2,653.30 crore during 2018-19 financial year. The Collector was speaking at the bankers meeting here.
Surendra Mohan said as much as 90 per cent of credit plan has been allocate to important sectors which include agriculture, employment, education, industries and women empowerment.
As many as Rs 1,349.70 crore was set aside for agriculture loans to farmers and other 17 per cent for mortgage loans. A total of Rs 196.85 crore was allocated to women empowerment, Rs 58.50 crore for educational loans and Rs 0.81 crore for house loans, he added. He asked the bankers not to trouble farmers in sanctioning loans.
He further advised the bankers to extend cooperation to the people with regard to sanction of loans under Central government’s Mudra and Stand Up India programmes.
He directed the bankers to achieve cent per cent target with regard to sanction of loans to beneficiaries belonging to the Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minorities. He instructed officials to provide loans to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes under State government scheme, driver-cum-owner scheme.
He advised the officials to provide loans to Self Help Ggroups groups without attaching strings. DRDA Project Director Kiran Kumar Redddy, Nabard AGM Dayamuth, RBI AGM Ganesh, lead bank manager Srinivas, SBI, APGVB regional managers JK Naidu, Srinivas , officials of government departments and bank officials participated in the programme.
