Nampally: The Telangana Private Junior Colleges Managements’ Association on Wednesday gave a call for a statewide bandh of junior colleges on August 27 to protest the alleged ‘partial’ attitude of the TRS government and the Intermediate Board. Association president Narender Reddy told press persons in its office here that the TRS government instead of developing private junior colleges was encouraging corporate institutions, while expressing concern over the state of affairs.

Reddy said the association was calling for the bandh to press demands like suitable increase of Intermediate fee in tune with the rising prices, release of pending scholarships to students and enforcement of the same regulations for both the government and private colleges. He pointed out that the association was forced to call for the protest after repeated representations to the government failed to evoke a favourable response.  He warned that if the State administration does not act, the association would call for an indefinite bandh of colleges. Among those present at the press meet were association general secretary Vishnuvardhan Reddy, G Satish, Veera Reddy, K Vasudeva Reddy.
