Collector flags off Swachh Survekshan Raths
Sangareddy: As part of Swachh Survekshan Gramin-2018, district Collector V Venkateshwarlu along with the Joint Collector Nikhila flagged off Swachh Survekshan Raths here on Monday. The two vehicles will travel in the rural areas in the district and campaign about the importance of the cleanliness and hygiene in the village as part of Swachh Bharat Mission.
DRDO, Additional DRDO of the district and the personnel of IKP and NREGS were also present at the programme. Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2018 was undertaken by the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) to provide national ranking of all districts of India on the basis quantitative and qualitative sanitation (Swachhata) parameters.
This ranking will be based on a comprehensive set of parameters including data from the SBM-G IMIS, district-level surveys of public places like schools, Anganwadis, PHCs, Haat bazaars, Panchayat and citizen’s perception of Swachhata and their recommendations for improvement of the programme and data from the SBM-G IMIS. As part of the Survekshan, States and Districts will be ranked for their sanitation and cleanliness status. Top performing States and Districts will be awarded on October 2.
