Theatres continue to flout HC order on parking fees
Tandur: Setting aside Hyderabad High Court ruling, managements of several cinema halls in the town have been collecting exorbitant parking fees from customers and the managements are not hesitating to enter into arguments to questioning the customers about the parking fee. The managements have been collecting Rs 20 for each two-wheeler and Rs 30 for each four-wheeler towards parking charges.
When a customer questions the rationale, the management, exhibiting an attitude of don’t care a dime for the customers, would not hesitate to threaten the adamant customers. It may be recalled that the manager of a theatre was killed in a clash over parking fee at a threater in Vikarabad. If this is the condition of implementation of the High Court ruling by managements of cinema theaters, will they care to implement the legal metrology department’s commission Akun Sabharwal who insisted that the theatre managements sell eatables at MRP displayed on the product and display prices of refreshments at the theaters.
