3 being treated for swine flu at Gandhi Hospital

Secunderabad: Three patients of swine flu are undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital, said Gandhi Hospital superintendent Shravan Kumar here on Monday. He said that four more patients were suspected of swine flu and their blood samples had been sent for testing. Hospital authorities arranged a special ward for swine flu and all the patients were being treated at this ward, he said.  A 29-year-old male patient from Siddipet got admitted in the hospital on December 20 and has been undergoing treatment. 

Similarly, a 43-year-old women patient from Alwal who got admitted on January 2 and a 20-year-old patient from Uppal was also admitted on January 1 were currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, the superintendent said. Four other suspected patients whose reports are yet to arrive, are also undergoing treatment. According Dr Kumar, Gandhi Hospital has been recognised as a nodal centre and various patients of swine flu are being sent to the hospital for treatment.
