MITS students win Smart India Hackathon 2019 contest
Hyderabad: A team comprising six students of Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science, Madanapalle (MITS) won the competition for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 organised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The world’s most prestigious and biggest innovation challenge. Smart India Hackathon 2019 is conducted nationwide.
The team “Innovative People” Mentored by Dr. Ram Prasanth includes B.Tech first year students Jayanth Sarma, Lohitha, Manasa, Madhan Teja, Jathin Sai and Shaik Thabasum have solved the problem given by KG Info System Pvt Ltd. The team took 36 Hrs to solve the problem statement of Google Search, using RPA, Principal of the College Dr. C. Yuvaraj told in the press meet on Tuesday.
The event is organised by Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Different teams across the India have participated in this event. The MITS team won the cash prize of Rs. 50,000, and the award was presented by Dr. M. P. Poonia Vice Chairman, AICTE. The students and mentors, who showcased their talent in the national level competition were congratulated by the college management, the Principal, Dr. C. Yuvaraj, Associate Director Dr. Prasad, Innovation Co-ordinator Dr. B. Jagadeesh Babu, Chokkanthan, HODs from various departments, faculty and students.
