Two bookies held for betting

Hyderabad: The North Zone Task Force sleuths busted a cricket betting racket and arrested two cricket bookies on Tuesday. According to police, on credible information they raided at Anand Colony in Old Bowenpally in Secunderabad and arrested  Saraf Jitendar (45), a native of Rajasthan and Jagwani Yashwanth (28) a resident of Malkajgiri, while they were accepting cricket betting amount from the punters over cell phones for One Day International match between India Vs Australia at  Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.

The bookies were following the betting app Cricket Mazza.com and used to pay betting amount to the winning punters clandestinely and gain illegally easy money. Police seized Rs 1.50 lakh cash, 6 mobile phones, 1 laptop, betting amount books from the possession of the accused. The accused along with seized property were handed over to SHO Bowenpally for further investigation.
