Film on K. Vishwanath to begin soon

Kalathapasvi K. Vishwanath is one of the legendary filmmakers that Telugu Film Industry has ever produced. He had started a new wave in Telugu Cinema by making art and parallel films in the 1970s and 80s. Many of his films bagged national awards as well. Some of them include Shankarabharanam, Sagara Sangamam, Swarna Kamalam, and Swati Mutyam.

Now, a film titled Vishwadarshanam is being made on the life of this ace filmmaker. Noted lyricist and writer, Janardhana Maharshi will be turning as a director with this film. This docudrama will feature how K. Vishwanath brought a change in Telugu cinema through his art. Many celebrities like Susheela, Radhika Sharathkumar, Bhanu Priya, Vijayendra Prasad, Saialja and Tanikella Bharani share their experiences of working with Vishwanath.

The film also features some of the old still of Vishwanath from the sets of his films. The film will also have some snippets from the man himself. The movie is being produced under the People's Media Factory.
