Nikhil refuses a challenging role?
Young actor Nikhil, who is known for choosing different themes like ‘Karthikeya’, ‘Surya Vs Surya’ and ‘Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada’ has reportedly refused a path-breaking film that revolves around a dumb protagonist. Nikhil declined to play a dumb youngster since he felt that he can’t do justice to this challenging role. “Although, he liked the concept and had a few sittings with the team, but finally, gave it up. He wasn’t willing to take chances at this stage of his career,” says a source, close to the unit.
Earlier, the same role was offered to Nara Rohith, who also evinced interest in this experimental role and also marked it as the 18th film of his career. It is being helmed by PB Manjunath and produced by Narayana Rao Atluri under the banner of Sree Vyshnavee Creations. The story and dialogues for the film are penned by Vamsi Rajesh.
Actually, Ram Charan was a game-changer of sorts, who, while essaying the role of a person with a hearing impairment in ‘Rangasthalam,’ managed to mint pots of money at the box-office and took his graph as an actor a few notches up. “Nikhil also wants to do different roles. He wants to dish out commercial movies with novel plots, but not a completely different role,” the source concludes.
