Performances:
Santosh Shoban has showcased his wonderful acting skills in the movie. Though this is his debut, he tried his level best to not reveal his flaws. There are some rookie mistakes he did but haven't affected the movie much. Riya Suman delivered an elegant and beautiful performance. She is not only looking extremely gorgeous in the film but will impress the viewers with her talent as well. Tanya Hope will also impress the audience with her cuteness and action. Posani is good in his part and entertained everyone. Naagineedu also justified his tiny role well and gave his best. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.
Technical aspects:
V.Jayashankarr has executed the story really well. The way he handled the slow-paced script and executed in a beautiful way is quite impressive. Being a director, Sampath Nandi worked as a producer for this film. His production values are super rich. DOP by Sounder Rajan will bring some extra brownie points for the film. The way he captured the picturesque locations will grab the eyeballs. Bheems composed the tunes. The songs have already become a super hit before the movie release. The background music is also good. Editing by Tammiraju is clean and neat. Overall, the technical team has showcased their flawless work.
Verdict:
The movie Paperboy has a routine and predictable story. The movie has the regular conflict that arises between a rich girl and poor guy. The best part of the movie is the refreshing treatment. The first half of the movie is slow and appears dragged. Though the conflict is clear, the director dragged it to fill the screen space. The good writing is a plus point of the movie and certain poetic elements included in the storyline are not entertaining. The impressive camera work, music and the performances are appreciable in the movie.
The comedy elements in the film looked little forced. Bithiri Sathi's episodes have come out well. Santosh Sobhan is quite natural and shines in this impressive film. The movie has the necessary freshness but the dragged narration, is the major drawback. If that can be ignored, the movie is good for a one time watch.
