Tata Projects bags RS 3,057 cr order

Hyderabad: Tata Projects Ltd, an infrastructure company, on Thursday announced to be awarded the Rs 3,057 crore worth, Bharat Net project in Chhattisgarh. The Smart Cities Business Unit of the company will link 85 blocks and 5,987gram panchayats in 27 districts of the state through high speed broadband.

Under the project, optical fibre cable network will be laid across the state covering 32,466 kilometres. It will also be leveraged to deliver scalable bandwidth to households, institutions and enterprises. 

Vinayak Deshpande, Managing Director, Tata Projects, said: “We are delighted to receive this project under the central government’s Digital India initiative. And, we are also confident that after the completion of the project, it will help in strengthening the State’s economy.”
