Training on agricultural drones begins in Ongole

Ongole: The SC Corporation chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao announced that they are starting three-month training for 300 unemployed youth on piloting agricultural drones in Ongole on Tuesday.

Jupudi Prabhakar inaugurated the training programme on drones for the unemployed SC youth in the Parivartan Bhavan and said that they have introduced many programmes to develop SC youth as entrepreneurs. He said that the SC Corporation has helped about 3lakh youth to get employment with funds of Rs 3000 crore.

He said that 70 per cent of the people in the state are still dependent on agriculture and has a large scope for the advancement of new technologies in farming. 

He said that the drones are being used in spraying fertilisers, pesticides at a nominal expenditure. He said that the youth who undergo training for the three months will be provided employment with a salary of Rs 15000 per month. 

He also announced that these trainees will be offered free accommodation, food while training period. 

The SC Corporation ED Krishnaveni and others also participated in the programme.
