New buildings for 3 railway stations soon

Kakinada: Three railway stations in East Godavari will have new buildings soon at a cost of Rs 4 crore. These are Pithapuram, Gollaprolu and Anaparti railway stations in the district. 

As part of this programme, senor engineers of Vijayawada division Nagendra Prasad, Ravikanth, Goplakrishna, Veeraswamy and M Ramesh visited the three stations and inspected the suitable sites available to take up the construction activity very soon.

The new buildings will have additional amenities such as waiting halls, spacious counters for issue of tickets to passengers, administrative rooms for station staff with rest room facility and spacious place for parking.

The official team said that suitable sites were identified and the works will soon start after technical clearance.
