MITS students selected for hackathon finals
Madanapalle (Chittoor): The students of Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) here have been shortlisted for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2019 organised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The world’s most prestigious and biggest innovation challenge Smart India Hackathon 2019 is conducted nationwide. “From MITS, five teams were selected for this competition, the highest number from a college in Andhra Pradesh, will be attending the contest,” the Principal Dr C Yuvaraj said in the press meet on Wednesday.
He said that, a total of 41 teams in the software edition from AP were selected by the Smart India Hackathon 2019 and five teams from MITS College. “The problem statement of Google search using RPA was addressed by Dr Ramprasath; Manned Level Crossing (MLC) on Indian Railway Network was addressed by Dr G Arunkumar; Bed Management Optimisation was addressed by Dr P V Venkateswara Rao; Reducing phishing attacks in online/mobile wallets and net banking was addressed by Dr D R Denslin Brabin; and keyword-based exploration of Library sources addressed by Dr Alok Kumar Shukla,” the Principal added.
Yuvaraj also informed that 30 MITS students and 5 mentors will be participating in this event to be held at different nodal centres across India on 2nd & 3rd March 2019. The students and mentors, who showcased their talent in the national-level competition were congratulated by the college management. Dr Prasad, Innovation Co-ordinator Dr B Jagadeesh Babu, Mr Chokkanthan, HoDs from various departments, faculty and students were present.
