Stone laid for Jagjivan Ram Bhavan in Kakinada

Kakinada: Foundation stone was set for the construction of Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan at Sambamurty Nagar here on Sunday. The building will be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 1.72 crore.

Speaking on this occasion, East Godavari District Collector Kartikeya Mishra said as per the assurance given during the previous year, the construction of Bhavan was taken up.  
  
The construction of social welfare Boys  hostel  near Balaji  Cheruvu with a cost of Rs 8.5 crore and the two girls welfare hostels at  Jagannaickpur and the hostel buildings for AS Women’s College students in Jagannackpur area with Rs 7 crore will also be taken up very soon, he added.
  
City MLA V Venkateswara Rao who also participated in foundation laying programme said that earlier Ambedkar Bhavan was also constructed under TDP rule.

Kakinada mayor S Pavani , DD social welfare D Sibhaarani and others participated.
