JNTU zonal sports meet begins in Ongole
Ongole: The JNTU Kakinada Zone D intercollegiate sports tournament started in Ongole at the PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences on Tuesday.
The university observer for the tournament Dr GP Raju inaugurated the sports meet and said that about 1000 students from 40 colleges in the Guntur and Prakasam districts are participating in the tournament.
He thanked the PACE college management for making great hospitality arrangements and hosting the event. He announced that the students will prove their talent in volleyball, kabaddi, kho kho, badminton, basketball and table tennis in the sports meet.
The college principal Dr M Srinivasan thanked the JNTU-K and the university officials for selecting the PACE college to host the tournament. He announced that the college made all arrangements for the students attending the tournament.
The physical directors I Madhu, S Giri, deans of academics, student affairs, EDC Cell and HoDs of various departments also participated in the programme.
