Assembly moves privilege motion against BJP MP

Amaravati: The ongoing fight between BJP and TDP took a new shape on Tuesday, as the TDP took the criticism of BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao very serious and moved House Motion against him in Assembly.

The AP Legislative Assembly moved a privilege motion against the BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Narasimha Rao for posting degraded content against Leader of the House and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the social media.

TDP MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar of Tadikonda Assembly constituency moved the privilege motion requesting Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao to send summons to Narasimha Rao. Sravan Kumar, in his motion said, “GVL Narasimha Rao, despite being a member of Upper House in Parliament posted degraded content against the Chief Minister. The BJP MP used derogatory terminology on the Twitter.

He termed Chandrababu Naidu as an Assembly Rowdy, reacting to the reply of the Chief Minister to BJP MLAs P Vishnukumar Raju and P Manikyala Rao on a discussion on Central Government’s failure in implementing AP Reorganization Act, 2014 recently in the House.

GVL further stated that CM’s madness reached its peaks.” Accepting on the motion, Speaker said that he will summon the BJP leader to the Privileges Committee of the Assembly.
