AP Govt to soon make repayment to AgriGold customers

Vijayawada: The State government is going to repay deposits of AgriGold customers soon. According to sources, the State government will release a government order (GO) in this regard in the next three days. 

The State government also wants to bring the present repayment plans to the notice of the High Court. It may be recalled that the State Cabinet has recently taken a decision to release Rs 250 crore to pay the deposit amounts on behalf of AgriGold which failed to repay the deposits to its customers.

Now the government wants to release Rs 300 crore by providing additional Rs 50 crore. The State government wants to take suggestions from the AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association for implementing the payment process.
