Classical music evokes humanism, transforms minds: Tanikella Bharani
Vizianagaram : Noted film actor and writer Tanikella Bharani stated that classical music transforms the minds of people. It gives us pleasure and pleasantness. Classical music has power to evoke humanism 'he said. On Monday, he participated in second day of centenary celebrations of Maharaja Music college in Vizianagaram.
Though the governments have been ignoring the art, culture and music, the rulers of Vizianagaram Samsthanam and people have been encouraging the artistes and protecting the art and culture for the past few centuries. We should continue the legacy, ‘’ Bharani said at the meeting.
Another writer cum artiste Gollapudi Maruthi Rao said that he is proud to say that he has association with this historical institute which produces number of singers, musicians. Art and music will be on earth for ever. We should support and encourage our traditions and culture,’’ he stated.
Collector M Hari Jawaharlal said that music and art will make our minds free of tensions and worries. The present generations should habituate to listen music for their psychological health. Of course, we may not have wealth, but we should have happiness and joy in our lives.
It's very pleasure for me to organise such a great programme during my tenure here,’’ he said. Later various musical concerts like Nadaswaram and others were organised at the venue.
