Chief Justice of India worships Lord Balaji

Tirupati: Chief Justice of India Justice Ranjan Gogoi along with his spouse offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Sunday. Gogoi was welcomed by senior TTD officials led by Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal and chief priest Venugopal Deekshithulu at the main entrance (Mahadwaram) and conducted into sanctum for darshan.

Gogoi had Maha Laghu darshan in the shrine. After darshan, the priests rendered Aasirvachanam, the traditional way of blessing the dignitary and EO Singhal offered Prasadam and memento to the Chief Justice of Supreme Court.

Earlier, at the airport, District Collector PS Pradyumna received Gogoi who proceeded by road straight to Tirumala after landing in the airport. Supreme Court Judge Justice NV Ramana also had darshan of Lord Venkateswara, on Sunday.
