‘Kuppam segment to get Krishna water by March’

   Chittoor: Addressing the 70th Republic Day celebrations held at Police Parade Grounds here on Saturday, District Collector P S Pradyumna assured people of diverting HNSS water to Kuppam by March.

He stated Krishna water via HNSS will be supplied to drought-prone mandals of the district like Thamballapalle, Madanapalle, Punganur, Palamaner, Kuppam, Chittoor, Piler, Chandragiri and Puthalapattu with an outlay of Rs 3,137 crore for drinking purpose of 10 lakh population and supplying water to 1.81 lakh acres.

Chittoor MP Dr N Sivaprasad, ZP Chairperson Girvani, Chittoor MLA D A Satyaprabha, Mayor K Hemalatha, District SP Vikrant Patil and other  officials were present.
