Sports competitions held in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: As part of Sankranti festival celebrations, the members of DYFI, AIDWA, CITU, KVPS and SFI jointly organised a few events for the youth at LBS Nagar, Rajivnagar, Sundaraiahnagar and other places in 57 and 58 divisions here on Sunday. The events were inaugurated by CITU state leader Ch Babu Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Babu Rao appreciated the organisers for conducting various events to mark Sankranti festival. He said that people from these colonies show interest in sports. 

However, due to lack of financial support they were not able to excel in games and sports. He appealed to the government to identify talented young players from these areas and support them.

CITU city president K Durga Prasad, DYFI leaders B Rambabu, D Rajini Kumar, SK Nizamuddin, women leaders and others were present.
