Vijayawada: BJP leader and Rajamahendravaram MLA Akula Satyanarayana has reportedly decided to quit the BJP and join Jana Sena party very soon. He is not happy with the political developments taking place in the State particularly related to the BJP, which failed to gain popularity.

He informed the media that the BJP lacks popularity in the State and he would quit the party. He is upset with the attitude of the BJP on the progress of important projects like Kadapa steel plant, Dugarajupatnam Port and Vizag railway zone etc.

He will meet Pawan Kalyan and will formally join the Jana Sena party at any time. Earlier, it was felt that he would join the TDP. But, there was no response from the TDP leadership. Hence, Akula Satyanarayana reportedly decided to join the Jana Sena party. The BJP will suffer a big blow in Godavari districts if the sitting MLA leaves the party.
