Srikakulam: YSRCP leader Bhuma Karunakar Reddy stated that YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has respect on Hindu traditions and temples.

In a press conference on Monday, he said that TDP chief and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hatched a plan against Jagan that he was against Hindu religion and traditions by projecting previous Tirumala incident as an example.

He recalled Jagan had launched his Praja Sankalpa yatra on November 6, 2017 after having darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara at Tirumala. This shows that he believes Hindu gods and respects their traditions, he explained and added Jagan will visit Tirumala on foot from Tirupati on January 10 to have a darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara.

He stated TDP leaders were playing cheap tricks to get mileage in ensuing elections. However, the people of the state will teach a fitting lesson to TDP in the ensuing elections.

Stating that former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy family has strong belief on Lord Venkateswara, he said the TDP leaders were trying to politicise the issue to get vote bank. As YSR implemented more schemes for the benefit of Hindu priests, he hoped they will vote against TDP.
