Govt emphasis on higher education: VC Prof S Rama Krishna Rao

 Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) vice-chancellor Prof S Ramakrishna Rao has said that the state government is giving top priority for higher education.

Addressing a gathering at Janmabhoomi programme at Kondaguntur village of Rajanaram mandal on Thursday, he said the government was also giving fee reimbursement to the students. 

Moreover, the government was also extending a financial assistance between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh for higher education in foreign countries to the eligible students. 

Because of this, many students were going to foreign countries for higher education. 

The government was also started skill development centres to enhance the skills of students in their interested fields to compete with others to get jobs. 

There were abundant job opportunities to the students who prove their mettle.

AKNU rector Dr PS Varma, NSS officer Dr N Kiran Chandra and others were present.
