HELP Planner released at Secretariat in Amaravati
Amaravati: AR Anuradha, Home Secretary, Govt of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the Planner for the year 2019 which is prepared by HELP for the Public Prosecutors to deal the cases of Human Trafficking effectively. The planner was inaugurated at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, she appreciated the efforts of HELP in preparing such a useful book for the Public Prosecutors (PPs) to refer various approaches in prosecution of Human Trafficking cases applying appropriate provisions of the law.
She opined that, though there is a decline in the trafficking cases in the state, still there is need to keep a bird eye on the heinous crime to improve the rate of convictions to the traffickers.
Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada said that, the planner will be useful in terms of improving conviction rate of the traffickers as well as to facilitate and improve effective service delivery to the victims of trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation.
