Psychiatrist Karri Rama Reddy gets PhD on student behaviour
Rajamahendravaram: Noted Psychiatrist Karri Rama Reddy (Manasa Hospital chief) has added another feather to his cap, by getting PhD in addition to his number of degrees in various courses.
Bharatiyar University of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu state awarded PhD to the doctor student for his thesis submitted on 'student behaviour and their mindset and related issues'.
Disclosing the details at a press conference held at his hospital here on Wednesday, he said on the advise of Andhra Kesari Yuvajana Samithi founder YS Narasimha Rao, he decided to pursue PhD on students.
The then Municipal Corporation commissioner Ravindra Babu issued consent letter to study students of corporation schools. Meanwhile, mayor PRS Sai also extended her cooperation in this regard.
It took five years to complete the PhD. Noted critic Phani Nageswara Rao said that so far Dr Karri Rama Reddy have degrees in 28 courses such as computers, law, criminal psychology etc.
Mayor PRS Sai said steps will be initiated to implement the recommendations of Dr Karri Rama Reddy to improve the behaviour of students in corporation schools. Dr Goli Venkata Rama Rao, CVS Krishna Rao and others were present.
