Krishna University archery teams selected

​Vijayawada: The Krishna University archery (Men and Women) teams are selected to participate in the All India Inter University Archery (MW) Championship for the year 2018-2019. The championship will be organised by NIIT University, Bhubaneswar. It will be held from December 27 to 30, according to N Srinivas Rao, secretary, sports board, Krishna University on Wednesday.

He said 11 archers would participate in Men’s team and two would participate in Women’s team. The men team players are K Mahesh, K Pitchaiah and P Sasi Kiran from Satavahana College, P Rajeev from KBN College, T Ravi Chandra, D Raghunathmani Varma and B Gopichandu from SRR and CVR Degree college, Vadithya Vijay, Dharavathu Ravi Teja, Mogili Gandhi and B Sanjeeva Reddy from DAR College, Nuzvid. The women’s team comprises of Nandava Haritha from KVSR Scops and Kasaraneni Swetha from SRR and CVR Degree College.

He further said that the coaching camp for the above teams was held at Volga Archery Academy, Vijayawada. Ch Satyanarayana has been nominated as coach and M Koteswara Rao of SRR and CVR Degree College, Vijayawada was nominated as manager.

The University Vice-Chancellor Prof S Rama Krishna Rao, registrar Prof Pulipati King and Dr Velaga Joshi, Principal and chairman of Selection Committee, extended their wishes to the archers to do their best in the tournament.
