Make use of govt welfare schemes, minorities told

Kurnool: District Collector S Satyanarayana advised women from minority communities to make use of government welfare schemes. He distributed sewing machines to Muslim women at a programme organised at ZP meeting hall here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Satyanarayana said the State government has introduced several welfare schemes with an aim of every woman should earn at least Rs 10,000 per month.

Around 300 women have underwent training in various skills. He further said the government is providing free education from KG to PG to improve literacy rate in Muslim community. MLC KE Prabhakar, MLA SV Mohan Reddy, MPP Raja Vardhan Reddy and Ramachandra, Executive Director of the Minority Corporation were present.
