Mukkoti Ekadasi celebrated with gaiety
Rajamahendravaram: The auspicious Vaikuntha Ekadasi was celebrated with religious fervour in the district. All the Vaishnavite temples were crowded with the devotees and serpentinequeue lines were seen there.
Darshan was commenced at 3 pm in all the temples and priests performed special poojas in the temples. The respective managements made necessary arrangements at the temples.
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temples at Antervedi, Korukonda and Puttakonda, Sri Venugopala Swamy temple, Sri Ranganadha Swamy temple, Lakshmi Naraayana temple, Venakteswara Swamy temples, Narasimha Swamy temples, Sri Rama temples in Rajamahendravaram, Venkateswara Swamy temples at Tantikonda, Appanapalli, Amalapuram, Bindu Madhava Swamy temple at Pithapuram, Bhavanarayana Swamy, Suryananrayana Swamy temple at Kakinada and others witnessed heavy crowds.
Meanwhile, at about 40,000 devotees had the Darshan of Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy on the sacred shrine Ratnagiri (Annavaram) and the temple management arranged hassle-free Darshan to the devotees. The devotees had the darshan through Uttara Dwaram which is important on Mukkoti Ekadasi.
