Chandrababu Naidu to lay stone for TCL on Dec 20

Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stone for China’s electronics and smart TV manufacturing company TCL at Vikruthamala near Tirupati Airport on December 20. 

District Collector PS Pradyumna told the heads of departments at a review meeting here on Monday that with TCL, Tirupati will become the biggest TV manufacturing hub in the country.

He asked the officials to make the CM’s programme a success. He has directed the officials to complete all pending works soon and all targets for this financial year should be completed before January end without waiting till March end.

Under NREGA material component, a total of Rs 1,267 crore have to be spent by various departments out of which 60 per cent were spent till now. In this, Panchayat Raj has spent the most on CC roads and put the district on top in the State.

He asked the DWMA, Housing, Sericulture, Horticulture and other departments to lay more focus and complete the works soon. Pradyumna has asked the DRDA PD Ravi Prakash Reddy to provide good branding and marketing facilities to Chittoor pure honey made by DWCRA women through apiculture. Joint Collector PS Girisha, Sub Collector Dr R Mahesh Kumar and other officials took part.
