Russian Federation Navy, Indian Navy personnel discuss Indra Navy exercise

Visakhapatnam: As part of the harbour phase of ongoing 10th edition of Indra Navy-18 exercise, Visakhapatnam, Rear Admiral Mikhailov Edward Evgenievich Deputy Chief of the HQ of Submarine Forces, Pacific Fleet Russian Federation Navy (RFN) and Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet carried out discussions with Chief of Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Karambir Singh and held discussion on issues of mutual interest.   

An Ops Conference was also organised for the operations teams of all participating ships to discuss the activities during the sea phase scheduled from December 13 to 16.  

Personnel from participating RFN ships visited INS Shakti and Indian Naval personnel  visited RFN Ship Boris Butoma as part of cross visits. RFN personnel visited the Damage Control Simulator ‘Avijit’ at INS Vishwakarma and participated in simulated damage control drills to arrest compartment flooding. In order to enhance people to people interaction, friendly sports fixtures between RFN and IN personnel of participating ships were also conducted at Visakhapatnam.
