Elaborate arrangements made for Panchami Theertham
Tirupati : TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal along with JEO P Bhaskar and other officials inspected the arrangements for Panchami Theertham, to be held on the last day of Goddess Padmavathi Brahmotsavams in Tiruchanur on December 12.
Briefing the media, Singhal said that elaborate arrangements are being made for Panchami Theertham, anticipating huge number of pilgrims. TTD vigilance along with local police made fool-proof security arrangements for smooth conduct of fete.
As part of additional arrangements, 60 food courts including 26 in Tholappa Garden, 18 in SV High School and 16 near Ayappa Swamy temple will be arranged. As many as 300 temporary toilets were also set up in various locations for the convenience of the pilgrims.
Parking lots are also set up at Silparamam, Tanapalli cross, Market Yard, Ramanaidu Kalyana mandapam, Pudi junction and Tiruchanur Dalitwada for the devotees and for in the open area opposite to Grama panchayat office for VIPs, he explained.
Separate entry and exit points in Padmasarovaram (temple tank) were made for the holy bath of devotees, he said informing that Chakrasnam will be held at the anointed auspicious time at 11.4 a.m.
Srivari sevakulu volunteers will assist the TTD security, Anna prasadam, health and medical wings. EO observed that the devotees have been thronging in huge numbers to Tiruchanur for this year Brahmotsavams. On Saturday, nearly one lakh pilgrims had darshan of Gaja Vahanam, one of the important vahanams in the Brahmotsavams.
The devotees number will be much more for Panchami to be observed to mark the end of the nine-day annual Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi, Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar requested the devotees to wait with patience till their turn for holy dip in waters.Tirupati Urban SP KKN Anburajan, Chief Engineer Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE Ramulu and others were also present.
