Kambala Tank to be made tourist spot

Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna has said that the Kambala Tank will become an attractive tourist spot in twin Godavari districts. The ongoing development works will be completed shortly.

After inspecting the progress of ongoing works along with municipal corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar here on Friday, he said plans were on the cards to inaugurate Kambala Tank with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Two open gyms, children play area, mini open air auditorium, boat shire, glass bridge etc will come up in the Kambala Tank and the tank will be filled with Godavari water, he added.

He asked the corporation engineering officials to complete the works without delay as Naidu may inaugurate the tank on December 30.

GUDA and municipal corporation jointly took up the development and beautification works of the tank.

Corporation superintending engineer OM Prakash and others were present.
