Jr Asst sacked over illegal registrations

Bhimavaram: Following allegations on illegal registration activity, the officials of housing department have probed and suspended a part-time junior assistant M Srinivasa Rao working in Nandamuru Garuvu of Veeravasaram mandal.

A few beneficiaries of Patta lands given in 1996 have been resorting to sale of the lands in old colony resulting in housing land irregularities, it was alleged.

According to sources, about 25 land owners sold the lands to others who produced the land to build houses under NTR scheme with the fake documents provided by the some corrupt employees. 

Irrespective of producing land enjoyment documents, the housing scheme beneficiaries have been producing self-declaration to claim ownership over the lands.

Following this, villagers Peram Prasad, Konda and others complained to Tahsildar at Meekosam programme. 

They alleged that VRO and village secretaries have been giving clearances to survey numbers specified in the documents of the housing beneficiaries. 

Following this, housing DEE BV Ramana took up the probe. After his submission of  his report, district panchayat officer V Nagarjunasagar issued orders removing Srinivasa Rao from the services.
