Assets worth 208 crore distributed in Mela

Guntur: Social Welfare Minister Nakka Anand Babu said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has prepared to bring Rs 10,000 per month income to every family in the State and distributing the loans under various self-employment schemes and distributing tools under the Adarana scheme.

He distributed tractors and auto rickshaws to the beneficiaries in the Mega Grounding Mela held at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram in here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that during the  first mega grounding mela, the government distributed loans and tractors, autos to 2 lakh beneficiaries.

He added now the government has been distributing loans, tractors, auto-rickshaws to another two lakh beneficiaries. He said the government will conduct mega grounding melas in four phases to extend helping hand to 8 lakh beneficiaries.

He said that in Guntur district they have extended helping hand to 15, 655 beneficiaries at a cost of Rs 462.37 crore. He said they have distributed units to 14,910 beneficiaries at a cost of Rs 208.12 crore.

He further said that the government was implementing Sub-Plan for weaker sections and urged the beneficiaries to avail the loan facilities given by the bankers. District collector Kona Sasidhar said that the government was providing the tools with 90 per cent subsidy to the beneficiaries to improve standard of living of weaker sections.
