Tourism facilitates exchange of heritage, culture: Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya

Vijayawada: Minister for Tourism and Culture Bhuma Akhila Priya said that tourism was the only way to exchange heritage and culture. 

She interacted with the NRIs at Berm Park here on Saturday. The Minister also pointed out that the Indian culture is reaching various countries through tourism. 

The Indian heritage and culture are getting more importance globally, she said and called upon the Telugu youth to campaign extensively for promoting tourism in the State. She said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was giving utmost priority to tourism and now it is going new heights.

Akhila Priya explained the construction of Amaravati, temple tourism, historical places of Buddhism and other important locations of the State. 

She also explained about the popular and tasty dishes of the State. The NRIs’ team members include those from the Netherlands, Myanmar, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago.  

The tourists were impressed on visiting Borra Caves and Araku Valley in Visakhapatnam district. 

They also expressed satisfaction over the food items available at the tourist destinations. Several higher officials of the Tourism department were also present.
