Rights panel members console rape victim

Vizianagaram: AP Child Rights Commission and Mahila Commission has visited the MR Hospital and consoled the family of a girl, who was allegedly raped by a motorcyclist in S Kota on Tuesday night.

It may be recalled that a 10-year-old girl was raped by a motorcyclist in S.Kota on Tuesday night. Police has registered a case and launched search for the accused. State committee member of Child Rights Commission K Apparao and Women Commission member K Srivani visited the hospital and consoled the girl.

Later they assured that they would support the family in all aspects. Both said that they would try to get financial support to the family and bear the expenditure for her education.

Meanwhile the police arrested the accused G Gopi of Gantyada on Thursday. Superintendent of Police G Palaraju stated that they had traced him out by using CC camera footage.
