Minister lays foundation stone for polytechnic college
Pithapuram: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that technology has been reflecting development in society.
He was addressing a gathering, after laying foundation stone to government polytechnic college at bypass road here on Tuesday. The college is proposed to construct in five acre land with an estimated amount of Rs 7.78 crore.
He said that trades like civil and mechanical engineering has been gaining momentum in meeting industries’ requirements.
The minister said that the government is committed to establish ITI, polytechnic and engineering colleges in the state.
Legislator SVSN Varma said that they allotted land worth Rs 10 crore to the polytechnic and sanctioned Rs 3.5 crore to construction of buildings for RRBHR Government College.
He also said that construction of indoor stadium is going on in a brisk pace.
ZPTC members Barla Appa Rao, Madiki Sanyasi Rao, municipal chairman Karanam Chinna Rao, MPP member Vijayalatha, Agriculture ADA Padmasri, Tahsildar B Suguna, MPDO Subba Rao, regional director for technical education J Satya Narayana Murthy, polytechnic college principal Subrahmanyam and RRBHR College principal Saibaba were present.
