Vijayawada: Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) such as BPCL, HPCL and IOCL are undertaking Retail Outlet (Petrol Pump) network expansion in tandem with the growth in demand of petrol and diesel, said GKKV Umashanker, coordinator HPCL.
Addressing the media here on Sunday, Umashanker said that about 2,814 locations from across 13 districts were identified to establish retail sales of petrol and diesel. He said that the fuel needs were increasing at eight percent for petrol and four percent for diesel annually.
Expansion of retail outlet network (Petrol Pumps) were undertaken by Oil Marketing Companies primarily to meet the growing fuel needs and convenience of the customers in emerging markets like upcoming highways, agricultural pockets and industrial hubs.
He said that the process of dealer selection was simplified as per the government's emphasis on ease of doing business. The dealer should be Class X qualified and should be above 21 years of age and not beyond 60 years of age.
All retail outlets will be constructed with the latest technology including automation. The retail outlet dealership provides very good opportunity to the entrepreneurs and also to associate with Fortune 500 companies.
