MLA Dr Anil Kumar Yadav fumes over hospital staff going on mass leave
Nellore: City MLA Dr P Anil Kumar found fault with the Government General Hospital authorities here on Saturday, for allowing around 85 employees to go on leave or on deputation.
He visited the hospital and interacted with the medical officials. The MLA said he had visited the hospital 20 days ago and there were only skeleton staff for providing services to the patients and still there is no change in the situation.
He blamed the Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana for not resolving the issues related to the government hospital so that his own medical college and hospitals are benefitted.
The legislator asked why the Minister was silent when majority staff went on leave and deputation leaving the patients to their fate.
Anil Kumar said he should have convened a meeting with the hospital authorities for preventing majority staff members proceeding on leave.
The MLA said Rs 48 crore was sanctioned to the Nellore Medical College for starting a cancer wing but there has been no effort from the Minister Narayana informing to the Chief Minister on the plans to achieve it for Nellore.
The facility would bring more seats and specialty courses to the college, he stated.
