Take steps to protect child rights: District Judge A Giridhar

 Vizianagaram: District Judge A Giridhar instructed the various government departments to take steps to protect the child rights. 

He told to take serious action on people or any institute which violates the child rights or put them in work. 

Addressing a Mega Legal Awareness Camp here on Saturday, he said that performing child marriages, harassing, sending them into work instead of schools would be considered as serious offences. “We should protect their rights given under the constitution,” he said.

Joint Collector MV Ramana Reddy stated that they would take strong action on owners of organisations or institutions if anybody put the children in work.

He assured that the government would protect such children and would take care of their future. 

SP G Palaraju expressed serious concern over killing of unborn babies in womb.  Various departments have installed stalls to create awareness among people and children. 

Later Giridhar interacted with children to knew their problems and directed the concerned officials to solve them. 

Later the officers issued licence to learn driving to students. Huge number of students from various schools and colleges participated in the programme.
