5 swine flu cases in Vizag

  The deadly disease swine flu cases are increasing in Visakhapatnam. The doctors in King George Hospital examined 34 swine flu patients on Thursday and confirmed five positive cases. 

With this, the district administration alerted all the line departments in Greater Visakhapatnam to take up high preparedness arrangements. 

Collector and GVMC Special Officer Pravin Kumar at an emergency meeting directed the Chief Medical Officer of GVMC to conduct door to door survey for 15 days in the areas where the positive swine flu cases registered. 

The collector also directed the officials to arrange massive awareness programmes at all the public gathering places including educational institutions, function halls and rythu bazaars.
