Soldier from dist among dead in Maoist attack
Giddalur: A CRPF soldier from the Prakasam district died along with three others in an improved explosive device blast in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
The body of the martyred soldier will reach his native place on Monday for the cremation, announced his family members.
According to the police, Chatti Praveen was a native of Gautavaram village in Racharla mandal. He was selected into CRPF last year and was working in Chhattisgarh till now.
On Saturday, the Maoists blasted the mine-proof vehicle in which Praveen and others were travelling with an IED. Three others along with him died on the spot.
The authorities informed about the incident to Chatti Durga Prasad and Ranga Lakshmamma, parents of Praveen on Saturday evening.
The relatives of Praveen informed the media that the authorities told them that they would bring the body of soldier to Gautavaram by Monday morning.
They said that they would perform the final rites of the martyr soldier by Monday evening after the officials pay tributes.
