Awareness meet on child marriages on October 27

Guntur : District judge A Hariharanath Sharma said that they are conducting a awareness meeting on child marriages on October 27 to discuss on steps to be taken to prevent child marriage. 

He said purohits, fathers in the churches and organisers of Arya Samaj and leaders of the Muslim cleric will participate in the meeting.

 Addressing a press meet held at his chamber in Guntur city on Saturday, he said that fathers in the churches are performing marriages without verifying the certificates which led to child marriages. 

The awareness meeting will be held at National Lok Adalat building from 10 am to 2 pm  on October 27. 

It  will create awareness on Protection of Children from Children Sexual Offences Act-2012.
