Acquire modern techniques, women farmers told in Kakinada

Kakinada: East Godavari In-charge Collector A Mallikarjuna, called upon the women farmers to opt for modern techniques in agriculture for more productivity.

Addressing women farmers at the meet organised at Ambedkar Bhavan on the occasion of Women Farmers Day on Monday, he said that apart from modernisation techniques, the women farmers should also keep close watch on farm mechanisation also.

Mallikarjuna complimented that 18 percent of this tribe was involved in farming with majority of them educated. 

He advocated for natural farming to achieve more productivity and good profits.

Speaking on the occasion, Kakinada Rural MLA P Anantalakshmi appreciated women farmers for developing themselves as role models for women empowerment.
