No tsunami threat to coastal Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) on Saturday made it clear that no tsunami warning has been sounded in the state though some parts of Indonesia were hit by tsunami.
The APSDMA, in a press release here, said Indian National Centre for Oceanic Information Services (INCOIS), which is the department of the Union government, had not given any warning or alert in AP about the tsunami, which hit some parts of Indonesia killing about 400 people and causing destruction in the central island of Sulawesi on Saturday with a magnitude of 7.5 points on Richter scale.
