CM Naidu reviews law and situation from New York
Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reached New York on Sunday evening (IST) and immediately spoke to the police and other department officials of Andhra Pradesh and enquired about the developments unfolded after the murder of Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and his follower and former MLA Sivari Soma by Maoists in Dumbri mandal of Araku area in Visakhapatnam district on Sunday noon. It may be noted that CM began his US tour from Hyderabad on yesterday and reached New York on Sunday evening.
He spoke to the top officials and instructed the latter to ensure security in the agency areas. The officials have explained clearly how the Maoists gunned down the MLA and subsequent events unfolded.
On the other hand the incharge DGP Harish Kumar reviewed with the top police officials about the law and order situation in Araku and instructed the officials to send more grey hound teams and special party police to the agency area for combing operations in view of the murder of MLA and setting up fire the police station by angry tribals in Araku.
