Two Maoists held; weapons seized

Chintur (East Godavari Agency):  Two Maoists and one Militia member of Jegurugonda Area Committee of South Bastar DVC were arrested by Chintur police on  Tuesday on Charla - Bhadrachalam Road at Pichukalapadu village in Chintur division.

Disclosing the details to the media on Tueday, Chintur OSD Amburajan and DSP Dilip Kiran said that the two Maoists Kovasi Ganga Raju (24) of Tharmatla village in Sukuma district and Sodi Bheema (23) also of Tharmetla village in Sukuma district were arrested on Tuesday.  

Militia member Madakam Deva (29), a native of Thermetla in Sukuma district, was arrested and Burmar weapon and 116 electrical  detonator were seized Police disclosed that all the three have been associated with Maoist activities since 2013 and were involved in several offences.
