Gutka packets seized in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: City Task Force on Tuesday arrested Dagiparthi Srinivas, a resident of Kothapeta under Two Town Police Station limits, and seized banned gutka, khaini packets and prohibited imported cigarettes all worth Rs 6.22 lakh. 

The Task Force led by Assistant Commissioner of Police G Rajiv Kumar raided the residence located at Modili Jannadam street in Kothapet in the Old City and found the gutka packets there. 

The accused trader, Dagiparthi Srinivas, purchased these gutka packets and cigarettes in Bengaluru and stored them in a rented house at Kothapet. The Task Force in a press release said a cell phone and cash were seized from the accused.
